The main difference between what we provide compared to others is that we suggest ISPs tag potential infected traffic while sending it to other partners in our network. Currently, criminals can build their botnets for years and target hundreds of thousands of companies without any consequences. With our approach, if they’re stopped once by a firewall in our network, that computer can’t be used again to target others because the traffic will be tagged.
Another consequence of this is that when a server is being targeted by a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) or other brute force attack, the server can request all routers in the network to stop sending traffic from infected units. As more serious ISPs join our concept, they can also block traffic coming from non-partnering ISPs automatically.
This will effectively put an end to such attacks on servers within our network, making it reckless not to join. You can read more about this and how it works technically in the document below.
